CeMAP Exam – Assessment Structure and Preparation
The CeMAP exams assess the knowledge and understanding required to achieve the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP) qualification.
CeMAP is a professional mortgage advice qualification for those looking to become a Mortgage Adviser. The qualification covers financial services regulation and ethics, mortgage law and practice, mortgage products and the application of mortgage advice knowledge.
There are no formal entry requirements for CeMAP.

CeMAP Exam Structure
CeMAP is divided into three modules covering five units:
FSRE – Financial Services, Regulation & Ethics
- FRE1: Industry, Regulation and Key Parties – 50 multiple-choice questions, 1-hour assessment and 70% pass mark.
- FRE2: Skills, Principles and Ethical Behaviours – 50 multiple-choice questions, 1-hour assessment and 70% pass mark.
CeMAP 2 – Mortgages
- MRT1: Mortgage Law, Practice and Application – 50 multiple-choice questions, 1-hour assessment and 70% pass mark.
- MRT2: Mortgage Products and Post-Completion – 50 multiple-choice questions, 1-hour assessment and 70% pass mark.
CeMAP 3 – Assessment of Mortgage Advice Knowledge
- Assessment of Mortgage Advice Knowledge – 60 multiple-choice questions with a 70% pass mark.
All the required modules must be successfully completed to achieve the full CeMAP qualification.

Our distance learning training is created and delivered by our tutors and is not AI-generated.
CeMAP Practice Questions and Mock Exams
Students can also use Mock-Quiz-Expert to test their knowledge and prepare for their assessments.
Our question bank contains over 5,000 multiple-choice questions and case studies across our qualifications.
CeMAP 2 & 3 questions include detailed answer explanations, helping you understand why an answer is correct and identify areas requiring further revision.
Students attending our classroom or live webinar courses also receive 3 months’ access to the relevant distance learning resources from the start of their course.
CeMAP Registration and Assessment Fees
Clarity FT provides training and study support for the CeMAP qualification.
LIBF registration and assessment fees are not included in Clarity FT course prices and are payable separately to LIBF.
You do not need to register for an LIBF assessment before completing a Clarity FT training course. You can arrange your assessment when you are ready.
