Become a Mortgage Adviser
How to become a mortgage adviser
To become a mortgage adviser candidates must first pass a professional qualification and be able to offer mortgage advice unsupervised. UK residential mortgages are regulated by the FCA, which requires all mortgage advisers offering advice to gain a relevant qualification listed in the FCA Handbook. Candidates that want to prove to a future employer that they have commitment and a higher level qualification that the standard level 3 can take The CeMAP Diploma.
The CeMAP® Diploma is a new Level 4 qualification for mortgage advisers. CeMAP® Diploma enables mortgage professionals to gain a qualification above the existing level 3 CeMAP® qualification, giving them an advantage and demonstrable technical knowledge and ability above requirement.
CeMAP Diploma covers numerous subjects including regulation, market mechanics and mortgage theory, the course will clearly emphasis and enrich your understanding and knowledge of the mortgage market. The course comes in 2 parts, with the regulation section shared with DipFA. At Clarity FT we currently provide tutorial for the FSRE® section of the CeMAP Diploma and offer the Advanced Mortgage Advice only as a one to one.
